Racing at the Highest Level
Zoe Florescu Potolea is a 17-year-old Romanian-American racing driver who has risen through the highest levels of international karting, competing for three seasons in FIA European and World Championship events and establishing herself among the strongest female competitors worldwide. After her success in karting, she is set to make her Formula 4 debut in early 2026, marking the next step in her single-seater career.
In September 2025, Zoe was invited to the F1 Academy Rookie Test at Navarra with Campos Racing, where she finished 8th overall, delivering a strong performance in her first single-seater evaluation.
In January 2026, she was selected as one of the new drivers for the More Than Equal driver development programme. This elite initiative aims to identify and develop the first female Formula 1 World Champion.
In 2026, Zoe Florescu Potolea competes as an official Campos Academy member and More Than Equal development driver, focused on achieving the highest level of performance. She races with Tecnicar by Amtog across the F4 Spanish Championship, Spanish Winter Series, and Formula Winter Series.

Selected for More Than Equal / In January 2026, Zoe Florescu Potolea was selected for the More Than Equal programme, a global high-performance initiative dedicated to preparing the next generation of female talent for a potential future in Formula 1. More Than Equal was founded by businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Karel Komárek, alongside former Formula 1 driver David Coulthard. The More Than Equal Driver Development Programme is a high-performance initiative designed to support young female drivers with the potential to progress to the elite levels of motorsport. Driver selection is carried out through a global, data-driven talent identification system, complemented by in-depth evaluations of on-track performance, physical capability, psychological preparation, and long-term development potential.

World Championship Finalist / In 2025, Zoe qualified for the KZ World Championship Final at Franciacorta, finishing 25th overall in a field of more than 100 drivers. She was the only female competitor in the race, underlining the significance of her achievement at the highest level of shifter karting. That same year, she ranked #29 globally in the FIA International Karting Ranking, becoming the only female driver listed in the KZ2 shifter category.
The Step into Single-Seater Racing / The 2025 season also marked Zoe’s transition to single-seater racing, with Formula 4 testing programmes conducted across Italian and Spanish circuits.
F1 Academy Rookie Test – Top 8 Overall / In September 2025, Zoe was invited to take part in the inaugural F1 Academy Rookie Test at the Circuito de Navarra. She competed with Campos Racing, driving a car from the Red Bull F1 Academy programme, and finished 8th overallagainst a highly competitive field of selected young drivers—demonstrating strong adaptability and performance in her move to single-seaters.

Competing at the Elite Level of Shifter Karting / In 2024, she advanced into the elite KZ2 shifter category with the factory Birel ART team, securing podium finishes in the ACI Italian Karting Championship.

FIA World Championship OK category, Tony Kart Racing Team / youngest and the fastest girl in the qualifying standings, ranking 46 out of 111.

A Breakthrough with FIA and Ferrari / In 2022, she won the FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars international selection, a prestigious programme organised by the FIA in partnership with Ferrari. Following this achievement, Zoe was supported within the Ferrari Driver Academy development pathway and joined the Tony Kart Racing Team programme, marking a major milestone in her progression at the top level of international karting.
